Flow Roofing helps homeowners and property owners navigate insurance claims for storm damage, fallen tree impact, hail, wind, and weather related roof damage. We provide professional damage documentation, coordinate with your adjuster on-site, and complete approved repairs or replacement. Free inspections available for storm damage assessment.
Homeowners and building owners experiencing a roof related insurance claim want to work with a contractor they can trust. Flow Roofing has been helping clients navigate the insurance claims process since 2018. We respond quickly to protect your property, document damage thoroughly, and work alongside your adjuster to make the process as seamless as possible.

Every situation is different. An emergency leak on a commercial flat roof carries different coverage considerations than storm damage on a residential steep slope. Before any work begins, we recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand the options available for your specific roof type, any material or fastener restrictions that apply to your building, and whether emergency stabilization is covered under your policy. Flow Roofing works alongside your insurer and adjuster from the start so by the time we are on your roof, everyone is aligned on the approved scope, the right materials, and the correct installation method.

We have walked hundreds of homeowners and property managers through this process. Here is what to expect.

Step 1. Contact your insurance company first When damage occurs, your first call should be to your insurance provider. They will walk you through your policy coverage, confirm what is approved for your specific roof type, and outline any material or fastener restrictions that apply before work begins.

Step 2. Call Flow Roofing for inspection and documentation Once you understand your coverage, call 503-936-2476. We schedule a thorough inspection and produce a comprehensive damage report including high resolution digital photos, written descriptions of all damage, material specifications, and a full scope of recommended repairs or replacement. This documentation is specifically formatted to support your claim.

Step 3. File your claim with your insurer With our report in hand, you contact your insurance provider to open your claim. Your insurer assigns an adjuster to evaluate the damage. Having professional documentation ready speeds up this process and reduces the chance of damage being missed or undervalued.

Step 4. We meet your adjuster on site Flow Roofing will be there when your adjuster visits. We walk the roof with them, answer technical questions, point out all damage identified in our report, and make sure nothing is overlooked. Our role is to ensure the adjuster has everything they need to make a fair and accurate assessment of your claim.

Step 5. Claim approval and scheduling Once your claim is approved, we work from the approved scope to complete your repair or replacement. We handle scheduling, materials, and installation, and communicate with you at every step.

Step 6. Final walk and documentation Every Flow Roofing project ends with a 50 plus point final inspection and walkthrough. We provide all completion documentation, warranty information, and photos for your insurance file and future reference.
Tips for a Smooth Insurance Claim
Know what your policy covers. Review your policy before storm season. It is important to know whether your policy covers emergency tarping or temporary repairs, whether depreciation or roof age affects your payout (ACV vs RCV policies), and what your deductible is. Flow Roofing can help you understand what these terms mean for your specific situation.

Act quickly after a storm. Most insurance policies require you to report damage promptly. Delaying can give insurers grounds to question whether damage occurred during the covered event. If you suspect storm damage, even if you do not see an obvious leak, call for an inspection right away.

Don't let just anyone on your roof. Storm chasing contractors often show up unsolicited after major weather events with high pressure tactics. Always verify licenses, insurance, and local references before signing anything.

Document everything yourself too. Take photos of damage as soon as it is safe to do so. Save all communication with your insurance company in writing. Keep records of any emergency repairs or tarping expenses since these are often reimbursable.
A Note on Flow Roofing's Role
Flow Roofing is a licensed roofing contractor, not a public adjuster or insurance professional. We provide damage documentation, coordinate with your adjuster on site, and complete approved repairs. We do not negotiate claim payouts on your behalf or provide insurance advice. For policy interpretation or claim disputes, we recommend working with your insurance provider, a licensed public adjuster, or an attorney as appropriate.
